About this job
Our company in Hazel Crest, IL is looking for a CDL-A driver to handle over-the-road freight. You'll run a mix of trailer types and keep deliveries on schedule while following all safety rules.
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer combinations, including refrigerated, flatbed and tanker equipment
- Loads may include hazardous materials, handled per HMR and DOT guidelines
What you'll do
- Drive OTR routes and plan efficient paths using GPS
- Load and unload freight yourself, following safe manual handling practices
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per FMCSA rules
- Keep accurate logs of hours, cargo paperwork and delivery records
Pay
$700.00-$1,800.00 per week

Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred
- Background in OTR, route or delivery driving with tractor-trailers
- Comfortable with manual transmissions and manual freight handling
- Experience with refrigerated, flatbed, tanker or auto-transport trailers is a plus
- Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat safety rules
- Solid GPS navigation skills and a strong safety record
