CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $300/day

This OTR trucking job has you hauling freight across multiple routes using tractor-trailers, reefers, flatbeds and tankers. You will need a Class A license, and the role covers general freight plus hazmat loads when required.

Pay

• $300.00 per day

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds and tanker equipment

• General freight as well as hazardous materials and dangerous goods under DOT and Hazmat rules

What the job involves

• Running over-the-road routes and planning them with GPS to stay on schedule and manage fuel use

• Loading and unloading cargo by hand or with a forklift, then securing it properly for the road

• Checking freight against shipping paperwork and keeping accurate records for each load

• Doing pre-trip inspections, basic maintenance checks and flagging mechanical problems right away

• Keeping dispatch updated on delivery progress, route issues or delays

• Following FMCSA and DOT rules at all times, including proper handling of hazardous cargo

Requirements

• Class A license with proven OTR driving experience

• Comfortable driving a manual transmission tractor-trailer

• Experience with reefer or hazmat freight is a plus but not required; a Hazmat endorsement is a bonus

• Able to use GPS and plan OTR routes

• Knows proper freight loading/unloading methods, including forklift or manual equipment use

• Solid understanding of FMCSA, DOT and hazardous materials rules

• Physically able to load and unload cargo safely
