CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $30–$34/hr

Our company in Manassas, VA is looking for a CDL-A driver to haul freight over the road. You will run tractor-trailers on various routes, handling different trailer types and loads.

What you'll haul

• Tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds and tankers

• Hazardous materials, following all required hazmat rules

• Specialized loads such as automobile parts

What you'll do

• Plan and run routes using GPS for on-time delivery

• Load and unload freight by hand when needed, securing cargo properly

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip checks on your truck, trailer and load

• Keep accurate paperwork: delivery manifests, load/unload records, hazmat documents and delivery logs

• Follow FMCSA and DOT rules, along with hazmat regulations, on every run

• Represent the company professionally with customers at pickup and delivery

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record

• Manual transmission experience preferred

• Hands-on experience driving trucks and delivering freight on routes

• Know-how with refrigerated trailers and hazardous materials handling

• Comfortable using GPS for route planning

• Experience loading and unloading flatbed or tanker freight, including manual handling

• Solid grasp of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat rules

• 2 years of roll-off truck experience required

• Manual transmission certification preferred

Pay and schedule

• $30.00 - $34.00 per hour

• About 40 hours per week
