CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $30.00–$34.00/hr

Our company in Manassas, VA is looking for a CDL-A truck driver to haul freight on over-the-road routes. You'll run a mix of equipment, including reefer, flatbed and tanker trailers, and may handle hazardous materials shipments.

Pay

• $30.00-$34.00 per hour

• Expected hours: 40.0 per week

What you'll haul

• Refrigerated, flatbed and tanker loads, including auto parts and other specialized freight

• Hazardous materials shipments, following all applicable hazmat rules

What you'll do

• Drive long-haul and assigned routes, using GPS to plan efficient paths and hit delivery windows

• Load and unload freight by hand when needed, securing cargo properly

• Run pre-trip and post-trip checks on your truck, trailer and load to catch any safety or mechanical problems

• Keep accurate paperwork: delivery manifests, load/unload records, hazmat documentation and delivery logs

• Stay professional and customer-focused at every pickup and drop-off

• Follow FMCSA and DOT rules, along with all hazmat and safety requirements, throughout each trip

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record (preferred)

• Manual transmission certification preferred

• Background in commercial truck driving, route work and freight delivery

• Comfortable operating refrigerated trailers and handling hazmat/dangerous goods

• Able to use GPS navigation for route planning

• Experience loading and unloading flatbed or tanker freight, including manual cargo handling

• Solid grasp of FMCSA, DOT and hazardous materials regulations

• Strong, safety-minded driving skills
