About this job
Our company in Raeford, NC is looking for an experienced OTR CDL-A driver to run tractor-trailers for a growing company. You can be paid as a 1099 contractor or W2 employee.
Pay
- $2,000.00 - $3,000.00 per week
What you'll haul
- Mixed freight including refrigerated goods, dry van and flatbed loads
What you'll do
- Operate an automatic-transmission tractor-trailer safely over long-haul routes
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to stay compliant with DOT rules
- Keep accurate records of hours worked and deliveries made
- Secure cargo properly and handle specialized freight with care
- Follow traffic laws and safety procedures at all times
- Stay in contact with dispatch and clients about schedules or issues on the road
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with at least two years of driving experience
- Clean driving record, with no more than 2 moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years
- Tractor-trailer experience required; freight or commercial trucking background preferred
- Comfortable working independently on long-haul routes with little supervision
- Physically able to inspect the truck and secure loads as needed
