About this job
Our company in Hinckley, OH 44233 needs a CDL-A driver for long-haul runs carrying a wide variety of freight. You'll be responsible for securing loads, running inspections, and keeping clean logs while staying compliant with federal trucking rules.
Pay
- $1,500 - $2,500 a week
What you'll haul
- A rotating mix of general freight, hazmat, refrigerated product, flatbed loads, tanker loads, and vehicle transport
Responsibilities
- Drive tractor-trailers on over-the-road routes in line with FMCSA and DOT standards
- Load and unload freight manually, making sure it's secured correctly
- Map out your routes using GPS and keep dispatch updated along the way
- Run full pre-trip and post-trip checks and flag any problems you find
- Track your hours, deliveries, and cargo details accurately
- Handle hazardous materials according to regulation
Requirements
- Active CDL; Hazmat or Tanker endorsement is a plus
- Background operating commercial trucks and managing freight
- Comfortable driving a manual transmission
- Familiar with DOT, FMCSA, and hazmat compliance rules
