CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $1,500–$1,800/week

Our company in Salt Lake City, UT is looking for a CDL-A OTR driver to haul long-haul freight across the country, including refrigerated, flatbed and tanker loads.

Pay

• $1,500.00 - $1,800.00 per week

What you'll haul

• A mix of freight types: refrigerated goods, hazmat and dangerous goods, flatbed loads, and tanker shipments

• Some routes may involve automobile transport

What the job involves

• Running over-the-road routes while staying compliant with FMCSA and DOT rules

• Planning routes and adjusting for traffic or road conditions using GPS

• Securing and handling cargo by hand during loading and unloading

• Doing pre-trip, en-route and post-trip vehicle inspections to catch maintenance or safety issues

• Keeping accurate records of hours, deliveries and compliance paperwork

• Staying in touch with dispatch to coordinate pickups, deliveries and route changes, and dealing directly with customers during drops

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving history and solid experience in commercial trucking and deliveries

• Comfortable driving manual transmission tractor-trailers on long routes

• Familiar with hazmat and dangerous goods rules and safe loading/unloading practices

• Experience with reefers, flatbeds, tankers or car-hauling is a plus but not required

• Solid grasp of FMCSA and DOT regulations for OTR operations

• Able to manage physical loading and unloading tasks safely

• Skilled at using GPS tools to plan efficient routes in different regions
