Our company is hiring an experienced OTR truck driver to move freight safely and on schedule for its supply chain operation out of Statesville, NC.
Pay
- $1,260.00 to $1,600.00 per week
What you'll do
- Haul finished goods and raw materials between plants, retail sites and distribution centers
- Plan your routes to hit delivery windows
- Check your truck before trips for mechanical or safety problems and handle basic preventative upkeep
- Back the truck into position for loading and unloading
- Confirm delivery details and keep accurate logs of driving time, rest periods, mileage, fuel and toll receipts
- Enter required steps into the company's automated tracking system during loading and unloading
- Follow all truck driving laws (weight, size, routing, parking and break rules) along with company procedures
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents or violations right away
Requirements
- Prior experience driving a truck professionally
- Comfortable using GPS, AVL and CB equipment
- Willing to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Solid understanding of trucking regulations
- Clean driving record, with no recent violations
- Able to adjust on the fly to traffic, weather and other surprises
- Valid truck driving license
