CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $1,000–$1,500/week

Our company in Chicago, IL is looking for a CDL-A driver to run over-the-road routes hauling freight in tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds and tankers. You'll be responsible for safe, on-time deliveries across multiple states while keeping everything compliant with federal trucking rules.

Pay

• $1,000.00 to $1,500.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Freight moved in tractor-trailers, reefers, flatbeds and tankers, including hazmat and other dangerous goods under DOT rules

• Multi-state OTR delivery routes

What the job involves

• Loading and unloading cargo by hand, securing it properly per FMCSA rules

• Planning routes and adjusting on the fly using GPS to hit delivery windows

• Running pre- and post-trip inspections and flagging any mechanical problems right away

• Keeping accurate paperwork for every load

• Staying on top of hours-of-service limits and all DOT/FMCSA safety requirements

• Keeping dispatch updated on progress, delays or any issues on the road

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with a clean driving history

• Prior experience driving commercial trucks

• Comfortable operating reefers, flatbeds, tankers and other specialized trailers

• Solid understanding of DOT, FMCSA and hazmat regulations

• Experience using GPS for trip planning

• Able to drive manual transmission and handle freight loading/unloading safely

• Strong focus on safe driving, on-time delivery and professionalism
