Our company in Fayetteville, NC is looking for a CDL-A driver to run over-the-road routes hauling refrigerated and dry van freight across long distances.
What you'll haul
- 53' refrigerated and dry van trailers
- Long-distance, cross-country routes
What you'll do
- Drive tractor-trailers safely on OTR routes while following FMCSA and DOT rules
- Plan routes and navigate using GPS to hit delivery windows
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking for mechanical problems and making sure loads are secured
- Stay in touch with dispatch and customers on delivery timing and any issues along the route
Pay
- $0.75 per mile
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record
- At least 2 years of commercial truck driving experience
- OTR experience, including route planning and GPS navigation
- Familiarity with FMCSA and DOT rules, hazmat regulations, and trucking safety standards
- Experience with trailer types like refrigerated, flatbed, tanker or other specialty equipment is a plus
- Strong driving skills with attention to safety, compliance and customer service
