CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $0.65–$0.68 CPM, $1,300/wk Guarantee

Our company, a small privately owned carrier in Monroe, NC, is hiring its first dedicated OTR driver. You'll work directly with ownership rather than being just a number in a big fleet, and you'll have a say in shaping the operation as it grows.

Pay

• Base rate of $0.65 CPM on all dispatched miles, loaded and empty

• A weekly performance bonus of up to $0.03 CPM can bring your total to $0.68 CPM

• Performance bonus breaks down to $0.01 CPM each for safety, attendance/reliability, and equipment care/performance; each week stands on its own, so missing one category doesn't cost you the others

• Bonuses accumulate and are paid out monthly

• Guaranteed $1,300 per week for your first 90 days

• Paid weekly

Extra pay opportunities

• $25 for each additional stop

• Detention pay of $20/hour after the first 2 hours

• $100 for each qualifying 24-hour layover period when you're ready for dispatch but stuck away from home through no fault of your own

• $100 for each qualifying 24-hour breakdown period caused by equipment failure (not driver-caused)

• $150 for a clean DOT inspection

• A $300 monthly Wellness Bonus once you hit 90 days

Home time and schedule

The company shuts down for two straight weeks at Christmas. Once you've been on continuously for 90 days, you'll be paid $1,400 for each of those two weeks off - $2,800 total.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of verifiable OTR experience driving CDL-A

• Clean driving record

• Valid Class A CDL and ability to meet DOT qualification standards

• English required

• No smoking, vaping, passengers, or pets allowed in company trucks

• Reliable attendance and availability, with clear communication with dispatch, ownership, customers, and facilities

• Careful handling and inspection of your equipment

• Timely, accurate logs, paperwork, BOLs, and trip records
