CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $0.50–$0.55/Mile

Silver Creek Carriers, a family- and veteran-owned carrier based in Chancellor, South Dakota, is looking for experienced CDL-A drivers for over-the-road runs. This asset-based operation offers solid mileage pay, newer equipment, and a company that knows its drivers personally.

Pay

• Earn $0.50–$0.55 per mile, paid on actual odometer miles

• Potential yearly earnings range from $65,000 to $120,000 depending on miles run and extra pay

• Extra pay available for detention, breakdowns, layovers, additional stops, loading/unloading, and tarping

• Bonus opportunities tied to performance, safety, referrals, and annual results

Equipment and schedule

• Drive Peterbilt 389 trucks

• Full-time, over-the-road routes

• Home time and specific route patterns will be discussed with the company

What you'll haul and do

• Haul freight on time while following safe driving practices

• Plan your routes and manage hours to stay within DOT rules

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance issues

• Keep your truck clean and in good working order

• Secure loads, including tarping and untarping as needed

• Oversee loading and unloading when required

• Keep accurate logs and delivery paperwork

• Stay in contact with dispatch about routes, delays, and equipment

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 2 years of professional driving experience

• Clean driving record and ability to meet driver qualification standards

• Able to pass DOT drug and alcohol screening

• Comfortable with GPS routing and hours-of-service rules

• Willing to be on the road and away from home for extended stretches

• Able to secure and tarp freight safely

• Reliable, safety-minded, and a clear communicator
