CDL-A OTR Team Driver — Tanker/Hazmat Freight

Our company is looking for a CDL-A team driver to haul tank loads of hazardous materials across the United States. You'll run OTR as part of a two-person team in a company tractor with a sleeper, pulling a tanker trailer.

What you'll haul

• Tanker loads of hazardous materials, delivered to customer sites nationwide

• You'll pump product out of the tanker into the customer's storage bin on arrival

• You're responsible for counting and tracking inventory before and after each trip

What you'll do

• Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and flag any maintenance needs

• Take direction from the transportation dispatcher on routes and schedules

• Keep paperwork accurate and complete for company records, DOT and other agencies

• Follow our company's inventory procedures and safety rules at the yard, on customer sites and on the road

• Sleep in the sleeper berth while your teammate drives

Requirements

• At least 21 years old (DOT requirement)

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 1 year of driving experience, or completion of a CDL training course

• Valid Class A CDL for combinations over 26,001 pounds

• Hazmat, Tanker (X endorsement), and Air Brake endorsements

• Able to get an ATF license to handle explosives, and to meet state and federal explosive-handling laws

• Comfortable with basic math and reading technical instructions, safety rules and procedure manuals

• Able to identify products by sight, climb, bend, kneel, and lift or carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly

• Ready to work outdoors in varying weather, with exposure to dust, noise, oil and grease
