CDL-A OTR Solo Driver — $28/hr Plus Per Diem

Ryder is looking for a solo CDL-A driver based in Lewistown, PA to run OTR routes along the East Coast and into Texas, covering multiple Ryder accounts.

Pay

• $28.00 per hour, paid weekly

• $20.00 per hour for travel time

• $0.70 mileage reimbursement

• $50.00 per diem for each night away from home

• Typical earnings of $1600 or more per week

• Paid training included

Schedule

• Expect to work 50 to 60 hours per week

• Dispatch times vary between AM and PM

• Schedule varies week to week

What you'll haul

• Solo OTR runs to the East Coast and Texas

• Equipment includes sleepers, day cabs and 26' straight trucks

• Trailers include dry van, Conestoga, and 48' or 53' flatbeds

• Freight is touch freight, with amount varying by load

• Ryder provides training on all the equipment you'll use

• You'll need an enhanced license or passport within 90 days of hire to cross into Canada

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL with the right endorsements for the role

• Verifiable tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5, or 5 years in the last 10

• Must pass a drug screen, background check, motor vehicle record review, DOT physical and road test with Ryder

• Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, regulations and procedures

• Some assignments may require extra screening, such as employment or education checks, or customer-specific badging
