About this job

Our company is looking for owner-operators to run dry van freight along the I-95 corridor, from Florida up through the Northeast. Loads are drop and hook with no touch freight, and you'll be dispatched on dedicated lanes rather than pulling from a load board.

Pay

  • Reported weekly gross: $8,000–$14,000 on OTR East Coast runs, or $6,000–$10,000 on Regional East runs
  • A separate pay listing shows $3,000.00–$6,000.00 per week, so confirm current numbers directly with the company
  • Average rate of $3.50–$4.00 per mile, with 3,000–4,000+ miles available weekly
  • 88% linehaul split, with 100% of fuel surcharge going to you
  • 12% dispatch fee
  • Potential annual earnings above $240,000
  • Settlements paid weekly by direct deposit
  • You'll operate as a 1099 independent contractor running your own business

What you'll haul

  • Dry van trailers, typically under 20,000 lbs
  • Pre-loaded trailers for drop and hook — no loading or unloading
  • Freight runs 7 days a week; you set your own schedule
  • Core lanes follow I-95: FL, GA, SC, NC, VA, MD, NJ, NY, with the option to run the full corridor up to Maine
  • Regional breakdown: Northeast (NY, NJ, PA, CT) offers strong volume and rates; Mid-Atlantic (MD, VA, DC, DE) has steady daily loads; Southeast (NC, SC, GA) has solid southbound freight

Equipment

  • Only 18-wheeler sleeper tractors are accepted
  • Trucks must be model year 2016 or newer
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Level 1 Inspection
  • Must be set up to pull a 53 ft dry van trailer

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions
  • At least 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Minimum age 21
  • Current DOT medical card
  • Clean driving record, with no serious violations in the past 3 years

Benefits

  • Fuel card with fuel discounts at major truck stops, plus paid tolls
  • Company covers plates and permits, with no trailer rental fee
  • Maintenance and tire discounts through partner vendors
  • An escrow maintenance account to help protect your uptime
  • Referral bonuses for qualified drivers you bring on
  • Dispatch, safety, and driver support available 24/7
  • 401(k), profit sharing, health insurance, employee discounts, safety equipment provided, and a passenger ride-along program

The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
