CDL-A OTR Owner-Operator — $0.75–$0.95/Mile

Western-Cargo is looking for CDL-A drivers to run as independent contractors (1099) hauling dry van freight, solo or as a team. Loads are no-touch, live load/unload, from major shippers including US Mail, J.B. Hunt, and FedEx.

Pay

• Solo drivers earn $0.75–$0.80 per mile; teams earn $0.95 per mile

• Typical mileage runs 4,000–4,500 miles weekly, putting estimated gross pay around $1,500 to over $3,500 a week

• You're paid weekly, every Friday, one week behind

• A $2,500 escrow applies, collected at $250 a week over 10 weeks

Home time

• Ideally you're out 6 weeks and home for 7 days

• At minimum, expect 4 weeks on the road followed by 4 days home

What you'll haul

• Dry van trailers with live load and live unload freight

• No-touch freight from major shippers

• Newer equipment: 2023–2027 Freightliner and Volvo tractors, governed at 72 MPH

Terminals

• Based out of Dallas, TX, Cincinnati, OH, or Orlando, FL

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license

• At least 2 years of OTR driving experience

• No major gaps in your OTR work history
