CDL-A OTR Midwest Driver — Up to $1,900/Wk + $2K Sign-On

Preferred Cartage is looking for experienced CDL-A drivers to run Midwest freight lanes, mostly drop-and-hook, with no-touch loads and modern automatic trucks. You'll be out 2-3 weeks at a time with the goal of getting you home every 7-10 days.

Pay

• Average weekly pay of $1,400 to $1,900 before taxes

• $2,000 sign-on bonus

• Weekly paydays

• Bonuses for safety and passing DOT inspections

Home time

• Target is home every 7-10 days

• Typical trip length is 2-3 weeks out, with 3-4 days off between runs

Routes and miles

• Minimum of 2,800 miles per week required, averaging 3,200-3,500 miles weekly

• Runs are concentrated in eastern Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska

• No coastal routes (East or West Coast)

• Occasional one-off trips to states like Utah, New Mexico, Arkansas, Illinois, or Wisconsin

What you'll haul

• 70-80% drop-and-hook loads

• All freight is no-touch

• Hauling for 5 dedicated customers, with very few broker loads

Equipment

• 2024-2026 Kenworth T680 trucks with the VIT package, replaced every 500,000 miles

• Automatic transmission paired with a Cummins engine

• Carrier APU, inverter, and refrigerator onboard

• Double bunks with heated and cooled leather seats and carpeted flooring

Requirements

• At least 2 full years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, no exceptions

• Comfortable driving at night

• No more than 3 preventable or serious accidents or violations in the last 5 years

• No more than 4 jobs in the past 12 months unless you have a reasonable explanation

• No current or former SAP drivers

• No DUIs or DWIs on your record

• Reefer experience is a plus but not required

• No pets allowed in the truck, no exceptions

• Serious violations that will disqualify you include excessive speeding, reckless or careless driving, improper or erratic lane changes, following too closely, at-fault collisions, and felony or alcohol/drug-related convictions
