CDL-A OTR Flatbed Driver — Home Weekends, Avg $1,750/Week

Our company, a family-owned manufacturer of conduit products with factories in Virginia and Texas, needs a CDL-A driver for regional OTR runs out of Louisa, VA. You'll run Monday through Friday with recurring delivery locations and be back home every weekend.

Pay

• Pay combines hourly wages, overtime, mileage pay, and compensation for sleeping in the truck, averaging $1,750 per week

• You're eligible for the company-wide bonus program

Home time

• Monday through Friday schedule, home on weekends

What you'll haul

• Regional routes with repeat delivery stops

• Flatbed loads on new, well-maintained curtainside trailers (no tarping required)

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Solid truck driving background with working knowledge of DOT rules

• Able to read and follow delivery schedules and BOL paperwork

• Flatbed experience, including strapping and securing loads

• Physically able to secure freight

• 2+ years of OTR driving experience preferred

• Good customer service skills are a plus, since you'll work directly with warehouse staff at customer sites

What you'll do

• Drive safely and efficiently to get loads where they need to go

• Follow DOT rules and company safety policies

• Plan efficient routes with maps and GPS to hit delivery windows

• Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and report problems right away

• Stay in touch with your logistics supervisor, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries

• Keep your truck clean and in good shape
