CDL-A OTR Driver — Home Weekends, 90% Touch-Free Freight

SunBelt Xpress is hiring experienced Class A CDL drivers out of its Kernersville, NC terminal for OTR runs across the East Coast, Southwest and Midwest in the General Commodity Division. Freight is about 90% touch-free, and you'll be home every weekend.

Routes and schedule

• Most trips involve two runs per week, each with 1-2 nights away from home.

• Longer runs are available if you prefer them.

• Expect a steady, predictable weekly rhythm with weekends off.

What you'll haul

• General commodities, handled with care and properly logged.

• About 90% of freight is touch-free.

Pay

• Starting at $0.60 per mile.

What the job involves

• Deliver freight safely and on schedule to assigned stops.

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

• Keep accurate records of hours, routes and cargo.

• Stay current with traffic laws and DOT rules.

• Keep dispatch updated on any delays or route changes.

• Plan your driving to stay on schedule.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old.

• At least 1 year of verifiable Class A CDL experience in the last 36 months.

• Valid Class A CDL, clean driving record, and acceptable PSP report.

• Current DOT medical card and long form; must pass a pre-employment drug test.

• Solid understanding of DOT rules, vehicle safety and basic maintenance checks.

• Able to move freight safely with a hand truck or similar equipment.

• Good time management to hit delivery windows consistently.
