CDL-A OTR Driver — From $26/hr

This is an over-the-road CDL-A driving job hauling freight exclusively for Amazon, run by a small local carrier. You work five days on and two days off, and the company says it makes on-the-spot offers to candidates who meet eligibility and background check requirements.

What you'll haul

• Amazon loads, mostly no-touch freight

• Round trips within the 70-hour duty cycle

• Brand-new Amazon-branded sleeper cabs with the company's technology

Pay

• From $26.00 per hour, with expected hours of 37 to 50 per week

• Pay is described as starting at $1,600–$1,800 per week, and the company says its drivers average $80,000 a year

• A sign-on bonus is offered; no amount is given

Home time

• You get 2 days in a row at home each week once your shifts end

Requirements

• Age 21 or older

• Valid Class A CDL with at least 9 months of CDL-A driving experience

• DOT physical, background check and pre-employment drug screen all passed

• No current CDL suspension or revocation

• Clean motor vehicle record and a good DAC report

• Able to speak, read and write English for road signs, official inquiries and paperwork

• Comfortable with handheld devices and smartphone apps such as GPS

• SAP-enrolled drivers can apply
