CDL-A OTR Driver — $90,000–100,000/Year, Layovers & Home Runs

Drive a tractor trailer delivering snack brands like Lay's, Doritos, and Cheetos to stores and warehouses around West Valley City, UT. This is a 70-hour, 8-day cycle operation with a mix of daily home runs and layovers, running Sunday to Saturday with no fixed start or end time.

Pay

• Annual target of $90,000-100,000 per year

Schedule

• Operates around the clock, Sunday through Saturday

• No set start or end time

• Mixture of daily home runs and layovers under a 70/8 hour cycle

• Must be willing to work holidays and weekends

• Shifts can run up to 14 hours, with up to 11 hours of actual driving time

What you'll haul

• Chips, dips, and other snack products

• Deliveries to large grocery stores, Frito-Lay plants, rural storage sites, and other distribution points

What you'll do

• Operate a tractor trailer safely under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

• Load and unload freight by hand, with a two-wheeler, or via palletized methods, including some overhead lifting

• Get delivery signatures, handle returns, and manage logs, invoices, and manifests

• Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections and log hours using an electronic device such as a tablet or onboard computer

• Stay in contact with dispatch, sales drivers, and customers during your shift

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license

• 100,000 or more verifiable accident-free miles, or more than 2,500 accident-free hours

• Able to lift and carry 15 to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Able to stand, walk, push, pull, and handle product for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Able to sit for up to five hours a day, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Able to work up to 14 hours daily, including up to 11 hours of driving, with or without reasonable accommodation
