About this job
Our company is hiring an OTR CDL-A driver to run freight out of Torrington, CT. You'll be out an average of 3 nights per trip, Monday through Friday, with a steady, predictable schedule.
Pay
- Average weekly pay of $1,800 to $2,000
- $6,000 sign-on bonus, paid in installments over your first year (exact payment schedule will be confirmed with the recruiter, since the posting lists more than one breakdown)
- If you leave the company during your first year, you forfeit any bonus payments not yet paid out
Home time
- Home most weekends, with trips averaging 3 nights out
What you'll haul
- Mohawk flooring products
- Drivers are responsible for unloading their own freight, using forklifts and pallet jacks to move heavy product
- Average of 2,800+ miles per week
Requirements
- Minimum age 23
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 6 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable operating a forklift and pallet jack to handle heavy loads
- Able to work a flexible schedule
