CDL-A Long Haul Truck Driver — $25.10/hr, Cross-Border Flatbed

Our company Inc. in Steinbach, MB is hiring long haul truck drivers to run flatbed and tractor-trailer loads, including cross-border and international routes. This is a permanent, full-time position with 10 openings and an immediate start.

Pay

• $25.10 per hour, based on a 40-hour week

• Overtime available

Schedule

• Shift work covering early morning, morning, day, evening and night

• Weekend work and overtime possible

• Expect overnight, extended and remote-location travel, including cross-border and international trips

What you'll haul

• Flatbed, tractor-trailer, tractor-trailer B-train and extended-length tractor-trailer combinations

• You'll load and unload freight, tarp and secure cargo, and may run as part of a two-driver team or in convoy

Requirements

• Class 1/1F/A or AZ license with air brake (Z) endorsement

• 2 to less than 3 years of driving experience

• High school diploma and English language skills

• Valid passport for cross-border runs

• Clean criminal record, bondable status, and passing results on a driving record check, drug test and medical exam

• Comfortable with manual transmission vehicles

• Able to handle physically demanding work, including lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs), repetitive tasks and long periods seated

• Responsible for pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and keeping accurate logs, trip reports and other required paperwork (bills of lading, inspection reports, trans-border documents, incident and dangerous goods reports)

• Must obtain any special permits needed for international cargo moves

• Reports to central dispatch and communicates with customers professionally
