CDL-A Local Yard Driver — Home Daily, $20.75–$21.25/hr

Work as a yard driver for our company in Kinston, NC, staying on one site your whole shift to shuttle trailers around instead of running the highway. You'll be home every day with a schedule you can count on.

What the job looks like

• You stay in one yard for the entire shift, with no highway miles or multiple-stop routes

• Your work is drop and hook, with no touching of freight

• Days are steady and repeatable, so you always know what to expect

Pay

• Day shift starts at $20.75 per hour

• Night shift starts at $21.25 per hour

• Overtime kicks in after 40 hours

• You're paid weekly

• Refer someone and earn up to $2,000

Home time

You return home every day on a consistent schedule.

What you'll do

• Shuttle trailers around the yard and between dock doors

• Handle drop-and-hook moves

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Follow company safety rules and procedures

• Stay in contact with dispatch and yard staff

• Keep your logs and paperwork accurate

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Current DOT medical card

• Clean driving history

• Prior tractor-trailer experience

• Comfortable working outdoors in any weather

• Able to get in and out of the truck repeatedly through your shift
