CDL-A Local Truck Driver — Home Daily, $36.05/hr

Our company needs a CDL-A driver for a local US Mail route out of Lancaster, PA. You'll be home every day on a steady, repeating route.

Pay

• Base rate of $30.15 per hour plus $5.90 HWP, totaling $36.05 per hour

• The HWP portion (paid for up to 40 hours weekly) helps cover the cost of group health coverage for those who qualify

• Orientation is paid

• Quarterly safety training sessions are also paid

• Refer another driver and earn up to $1,000 per referral

Schedule

• Full-time, working Tuesday through Sunday from 3:45 am to 2:15 pm

• Same route every shift

• Up to 40 hours weekly

What you'll haul

• US Mail on a fixed local route based in Lancaster, PA

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience holding a Class A license

• Clean criminal background check

• Clean driving record and PSP

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs overhead, using proper bending and lifting technique

• Able to climb in and out of the cab using three points of contact on the steps

• Able to get onto the catwalk behind the cab and stay steady while hooking up the trailer

• Able to push and pull wheeled carts over 100 lbs

• Able to bend down to release the fifth-wheel lock, which puts strain on the lower back

• Able to crank the landing gear by hand

• Able to bend and reach underneath the trailer to check that the pin is locked into the fifth-wheel

• Able to sit and drive for at least 4 hours straight without stopping
