About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A CDL truck driver for a local solo route based in Lyons, IL, with daily home time. You'll run no-touch general freight in a dry van, with weekly pay and a set schedule.
Pay
- $28.00 per hour, paid weekly
- Expect $1232 or more per week
- 36 to 48 hours per week
Schedule
- Sunday through Tuesday, plus every other Wednesday
- Shift window runs 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
What you'll haul
- Solo local routes within IL, home every day
- Day cab tractor pulling a 53' dry van trailer
- General freight, no-touch
- Trucks are 36 months old or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside support and access to over 800 maintenance locations nationwide
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with the right endorsements for this route
- Verifiable tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
- Must pass our company's drug screening, background check, motor vehicle record review, DOT physical and road test, including verification of drug and alcohol history from employers over the past 3 years
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures
- Some assignments may require added screening such as employment or education checks, a customer background check, or badging
Responsibilities
- Follow all relevant federal and state regulations and company standards
- Watch for and reduce safety risks on the job
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Help load or unload freight when the customer requires it
- Other duties as assigned
