About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A CDL truck driver for a local, home-daily route out of Zeeland, MI, hauling auto parts for a dedicated account. Pay is weekly with a strong guaranteed minimum.
Pay
- Weekly guarantee of $1320
- Hourly rate of $27.81
- Guaranteed 45 hours per week
- Paid weekly
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, with Saturday overtime required at times
- Start times of either 4:30 AM or 6 AM
- You need flexibility on start time since routes can shift
What you'll haul
- Solo local routes within Michigan, home every day
- Day cab and 26' box truck pulling a 53' dry van
- Auto parts freight that requires hands-on loading and unloading
- Electric pallet jack provided
- Hazmat endorsement preferred
Equipment
Trucks are 36 months old or newer and kept up through 24/7 roadside assistance, with fueling and maintenance available at more than 800 locations across the country.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A license with required endorsements
- Able to pass a drug test, background check, DOT physical and road test, plus a review of motor vehicle and drug/alcohol history from the past 3 years
- Tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures
- Some assignments may involve extra background checks, education verification or customer-specific badging
Responsibilities
- Follow all applicable safety laws and regulations
- Spot and address safety risks
- Keep accurate logs and records
- Help load and unload freight when needed
- Other duties as assigned
