About this job
Penske Logistics is hiring full-time CDL-A drivers to run a dedicated route delivering auto parts between Nitro, WV and Huntington, WV. You'll be home every day and paid a guaranteed weekly minimum.
Pay
- Averages $67,500 per year
- Guaranteed minimum of $1,300 per week
- Paid every Friday
Home time
- Home daily
- Works Monday through Saturday on a 5-day week
- Typical dispatch around 8:30 PM, running roughly 8:30 PM to 5 AM (varies slightly by warehouse)
What you'll haul
- Multi-stop deliveries of auto parts and supplies to retail stores
- Fixed route between Nitro, WV and Huntington, WV
- About 45 stops per week, including liftgate deliveries
- Unloading done by hand using pallet jacks, hand carts, and totes
Equipment
- Late-model trucks maintained by Penske
- 48-foot dry van trailers
- Automatic transmission day cabs
- Cabs fitted with inward- and outward-facing cameras
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL, with a driving record based in the U.S. and licensed in your state of residence
- Hazmat endorsement needed within 90 days of hire
- Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card, current or obtainable
- At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
- No more than two moving violations or accidents on your 3-year driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening, and complete a Penske employment application
- English language proficiency required under federal DOT rules
- Able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs, and to safely get in and out of the cab and cargo area
