CDL-A Local P&D Driver / Forklift Operator — $30.90/hr

Our company in Aurora, IL is hiring a local pickup-and-delivery driver who can also run a forklift on the dock. You'll move freight to and from locations near the service center and help load and unload trailers using standard dock procedures.

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver cargo close to the consolidation/distribution center

• Load and unload trailers, building and breaking down loads while following weight-distribution rules

• Run a forklift when needed

• Handle check-in, trailer inspections, and tractor setup

• Keep accurate paperwork and loading logs

• Take on other tasks as assigned

Pay

This is an hourly role paid weekly at $30.90 an hour, set under the Illinois Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Pay follows Teamster Union Scale, and hourly workers get overtime after 8 hours in a day.

Schedule

Hours and days differ by location and can include days, nights, and weekends. You'll need to be available for whatever shift pattern applies at this service center. Travel is minimal, 0 to 25 percent.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience (training may be available for those with less)

• Class A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazmat endorsements

• At least 21 years old

• Solid, stable work history

• Clean driving record based on your MVR and job history

• Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical standards
