CDL-A Local P&D Driver — $94,731–$103,332/yr

Our company in Charlotte, NC is looking for a local Pickup & Delivery driver to run a tractor-trailer route, picking up and dropping off freight for regular customers on third shift.

What you'll do

• Operate a tractor-trailer, including coupling, uncoupling and hooking up lines

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and keep equipment adjusted properly

• Oversee loading and unloading of freight

• Complete transport paperwork accurately, including documentation for hazardous materials

• Navigate tight spaces and heavy traffic safely

• Report delays or incidents and follow all safety rules and company procedures

• Represent the company professionally and provide strong customer service

Pay

$94,731 to $103,332 per year on average. Actual pay can vary based on experience, hours worked and location.

Third shift.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of driving experience (1 year preferred)

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker and Twin Trailers endorsements, no automatic restriction

• Minimum age 21

• Able to read, understand and write in English, do basic math, handle receipts, read maps and road signs, and keep driving logs

• Strong working knowledge of DOT rules covering safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspections and hazmat transport

• Must meet DOT physical standards and pass drug and alcohol screening
