Our company needs a local pickup and delivery driver in Jacksonville, FL to run tractor-trailer routes and serve as the company's point of contact with customers along the way.

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver freight on local routes, coupling and uncoupling trailers, hooking up lines, and adjusting equipment as needed

• Inspect your vehicle, oversee loading and unloading of cargo, and keep transport paperwork accurate, including hazmat documentation

• Navigate tight spaces and heavy traffic safely

• Report incidents or delays and follow all safety rules and company policy

• Represent the company professionally and provide strong customer service

Pay

Average annual pay is $94,731-$103,332, though actual earnings can vary with experience, hours worked, and location.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of driving experience (1 year preferred)

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailers endorsements, no automatic restriction

• Minimum age 21

• Able to read, understand, and write in English, do basic math, handle receipts, read maps and signs, and keep accurate driving logs

• Strong working knowledge of DOT rules on safe driving, hours of service, inspections, and hazmat transport, with full compliance

• Must meet DOT physical standards and pass drug and alcohol screening
