About this job
Our company is looking for a seasoned Class A CDL driver for a dedicated local intermodal lane out of the McCook, IL area. You'll run a steady Monday–Friday schedule, sleep in your own bed every night, and work as a 1099 independent contractor.
Pay
- $430 per day, paid Monday through Friday
- That works out to $2,150 per week
- Annualized across 52 weeks of Monday–Friday work, that's $111,800
- Weekend runs are available if you want to pick up extra income
- This is a 1099 contractor role, not an employee position
Schedule and freight
- Monday through Friday, home every night
- Dedicated, steady lane with reliable freight
- Drop-and-hook only, so there's no live loading involved
- Local and regional intermodal work
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 2 years of CDL driving experience
- Intermodal experience is a plus, though not mandatory
- A clean, safe driving history
- Must satisfy current DOT and FMCSA standards
- Solid attendance record and overall dependability
- Comfortable handling a tractor-trailer and intermodal equipment
- Clear communicator with a professional approach
