CDL-A Local Delivery Truck Driver — Home Nightly

This local route involves driving a tractor-trailer and hand-unloading deliveries of meats, produce, frozen items, groceries and dry goods to customers on a set schedule. You'll get to know your customers and their needs as you build regular routes.

Home time

Most driver trainees run daily routes and get home each night.

What you'll haul

A mixed load of meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods and supplies, delivered directly to customer locations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Valid Class A CDL with a driving record that meets the company's insurability standards

• Able to pass required employment testing

• Able to speak and read English well enough to talk with customers, understand road signs, respond to official requests and fill out reports

• Able to repeatedly lift, push or move freight averaging 40-60 pounds, sometimes up to 100 pounds

• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed

• Preferred: a year of experience delivering to customers, six months using a hand cart or hand truck, six months in food and beverage work, and two years of steady job history
