About this job
Our company is hiring a CDL-A delivery driver out of Wheeling, IL to run local routes supplying restaurants, schools, hospitals and universities. You'll be home every day, with early-morning starts and no overnight trips.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Start time between 3 AM and 5 AM, finishing once your route is done
Pay
- Drivers average $80,000-90,000 per year
- Base pay each day plus component pay
- Guaranteed minimum of $1,100 per week
- Earnings based on miles driven, stops made and cases delivered
What you'll haul
You'll deliver food products and unload cases weighing up to 100 lbs by hand, using a ramp and two-wheeler to move freight off the truck.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL at time of hire (new license holders welcome)
- Able to maneuver a two-wheel cart loaded with up to 350 lbs
- Clean driving record meeting DOT and company standards
- Must pass a background check and drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana
- Required to register with the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and give electronic consent
