About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run local delivery routes out of Aurora, IL, bringing food products to restaurants, schools, hospitals and universities. You'll work day shifts and be home every night.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Shifts begin between 3 and 5 AM and run until the route is complete
Pay
- Drivers typically earn $80-90K per year
- Guaranteed minimum of $1,100 per week
- Daily base pay plus component pay
- Additional pay for each mile driven, stop made and case delivered
What you'll haul
You'll deliver food products on local routes, handling cases weighing up to 100 lbs and using a ramp and two-wheeler to unload throughout your shift.
Requirements
- Minimum age 21
- Valid Class A CDL at time of hire
- Able to operate a two-wheel cart loaded up to 350 lbs
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs repeatedly during a shift
- English proficiency for reading labels, pick lists, scanners and signage, and for completing paperwork and following verbal instructions
- Must pass a drug screening (including for marijuana) and a background check
- Clean driving record meeting DOT and company standards
- Registration with the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, with electronic consent, required for employment
