CDL-A Local Delivery Driver — $31.23–$33.73/hr

Our company in Streator, IL is looking for a CDL-A driver to handle local food delivery routes, Monday through Friday with early morning starts.

Pay

• Starting rate of $31.23 per hour

• Increases to $33.73 per hour once you finish your probation period

Schedule

• Monday through Friday

• Shifts begin between 2:30am and 6am

• Occasional overnight shift possible

What you'll do

• Drive trucks on set routes and hit your scheduled delivery windows

• Unload product using a hand truck, pallet jack, or by hand, placing items where customers want them

• Confirm each delivery is correct and get the required signatures

• Collect customer payments when needed

• Represent the company well through solid customer service

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks

Physical demands

• Repeatedly lift, carry, push, or pull product weighing 20 to 80+ lbs through each shift

• Work outdoors in all weather, with 10 or more stops per shift

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Valid CDL Class A from your state of residence, with required endorsements and DOT qualifications

• Registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse (required by the Department of Transportation for all CDL holders)

• Six months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or three months specifically in food or beverage delivery

• Manual transmission skills preferred, and may be required depending on location

• Able to read and speak English well enough to understand road signs, communicate with officials, and complete reports
