About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to haul livestock across Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa, with the Iowa trucking base located near Garnavillo. This role involves hands-on work loading and transporting animals safely.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, roughly 5:30 am to 3:00 pm, though hours can shift depending on business needs
- Overtime opportunities are available
What you'll haul
- Livestock, using a dedicated livestock trailer
- Routes run through Southern MN and Northern IA
What you'll do
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and trailer
- Operate the semi safely whether loaded or empty
- Load and unload animals from the trailer
- Clean out the trailer each day
- Follow the company's biosecurity procedures
- Work independently and reliably with little oversight
- Support a zero-injury safety culture as part of the team
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving history
- Current DOT medical card
- More than one year of driving experience
- Able to stand and sit for long stretches, and to bend, reach, squat, and kneel often
- Able to lift up to 55 lbs
- Comfortable working in varying conditions such as heat, cold, and dust
