CDL-A Linehaul Driver — $0.79 per Mile

Our company in Reno, NV is hiring CDL-A linehaul drivers for immediate routes serving the Northern CA and NV markets. You will run between company service centers and meet-and-turn points, in-state and across state lines, with various trailer combinations. Drivers with Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles/Triples endorsements get priority.

Pay

• $0.79 per mile

• Work days run Monday through Sunday and vary with business needs

• Shifts are AM or PM and can change depending on operations

What you'll do

• Drive safely and follow all state and federal rules, including hours of service and hazmat requirements

• Inspect your equipment before and after each trip and report any defects

• Log ELD, vehicle inspection, trip and dispatch information on company-provided devices

• Secure cargo so it arrives undamaged

• Load, unload, sort and handle freight when needed

• Stay in contact with dispatch and keep to trip schedules

• Represent the company professionally with customers and coworkers

• Take on other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and a current DOT physical with a Medical Examiner's Certificate

• Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles/Triples endorsements are listed as required in the qualifications, though the job summary describes them as a priority

• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience; the summary mentions 1 year of safe OTR experience, and Doubles experience is preferred but qualified drivers will be trained

• No more than two moving violations on your record in the past three years

• Age 21 or older

• Pass the onboarding checks: drug screening, background check, MVR and PSP review

• Complete new-hire training, including assessments, a driving test, a trailer combination test and a forklift test

Physical demands and conditions

• Includes sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, reaching and moving materials

• You need to stay alert, read manifests, follow navigation and identify shipment labels accurately

• Reliable attendance is required

• Work takes place at indoor docks, inside vehicles and outdoors, sometimes in extreme temperatures, bad weather, low light and near moving equipment
