About this job
This is a lease-purchase opportunity for CDL-A drivers running over the road with our company LLC and MTE-Leasing. You drive your own late-model tractor, haul dry van no-touch freight across the lower 48, and are paid a percentage of gross.
Pay
- You keep 80% of gross, with the company taking 20%.
- Average weekly gross is estimated at $6,500, and the posted yearly range is $200,000 to $300,000.
- Weekly loaded-mile bonuses: 2,100 miles pays $100, 2,300 pays $225, 2,500 pays $275 and 2,800 pays $350.
- A $500 sign-on bonus is paid once you finish your first 9,000 miles.
- Advances of up to $200 a week are available, and pay arrives by direct deposit each week.
Freight and routes
- All dry van, no-touch freight, with driver-assist loads as an option.
- About 70% of loads are drop and hook, and about 70% of the freight comes from a steady customer, the rest brokered.
- No hazmat, Canada or Mexico.
- You choose your loads and how often you head home, with no forced dispatch.
The lease
- Trucks are 2023 or newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth T680 models.
- Weekly lease: $750 for a 2023 (3 years), $850 for a 2024 (3 years), $950 for a 2025 (4 years), taken out of your weekly settlement.
- $5,000 down, or a loan payable at $300 a week.
- No credit check and no interest on the lease; a $15,000 balloon payment is due at the end.
- Factory warranty carries over where applicable, plus a 7-day trial period.
- You cover plates and registration, fuel card, physical damage insurance, Hwy 2290/IRP and IFTA reporting.
Support and perks
- A 24/7 support team based in Michigan.
- Discounts on fuel, maintenance and tires; fuel savings vary with volume and Love's/TA franchise ownership.
- Rider and one dog can be covered under a policy.
- This is a 1099 position with no company benefits, though you may buy extra coverage yourself.
Requirements
- At least 3 months of recent, verifiable CDL-A experience pulling 48-53 ft trailers.
- A valid CDL and a DOT medical card attached to it.
- You must live in one of the hiring-area states listed in the posting.
- Drivers in the SAP program are considered once Step 5 of Return-To-Duty is complete.
The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
