CDL-A Highside Truck Driver — Mon–Fri Schedule, Holland, MI

Our company, a recycling company handling paper, plastic, metals and electronics, needs a CDL-A driver in Holland, MI to run a Highside truck and swap trailers or containers at customer sites. You may also be assigned other company trucks like Van Trailers, Switch Trucks, Box Trucks, Bulk Tankers or Tow Trucks as dispatch directs.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 6:00pm

What you'll do

• Visit customer sites and keep relationships strong through good service

• Weigh loads, inspect materials, and fill out shipping paperwork

• Keep up with scale tickets, shipper forms, logbooks and trip reports

• File reports for any accidents or traffic violations

• Run DOT pre-trip and post-trip checks every day, plus daily vehicle inspection reports

• Tarp and secure loads as needed, and keep the truck cab clean

• Enter vendor codes and trip data, and take on other tasks as they come up

• Be ready for random drug and alcohol testing

Requirements

• High school diploma

• CDL-A with no manual transmission (E) restriction

• Clean driving record

• Strong customer service background

• Able to lift up to 75 lbs. while chaining loads

• Clear handwriting and solid math skills

• Comfortable working independently and paying close attention to detail

• Experience keeping accurate logbooks

• Willing to work outdoors

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical

• Must be at least 18 years old
