CDL-A Hazmat Driver — Home Daily, $80,000/Year Average

Ruan is looking for a Class A CDL driver based in Chicago, IL to haul auto parts in dry van trailers for a dedicated customer out of Joliet, IL. This is a home-daily, overnight route with driver-unload at each stop.

Pay

• Weekly pay based on activity: $.698 per mile plus $25 per stop

• Drivers average $80,000 per year

• $2,500 sign-on bonus, first payment arrives after 30 days

Home time

• Home every day, overnight schedule

• Departure options include Sunday-Thursday, Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday, and several split schedules

• Work 5 days on, 2 consecutive days off

• Drivers average around 47 hours per week

What you'll haul

• Dry van trailers carrying auto parts

• A combination of multi-stop runs and shuttle deliveries

• You'll unload freight yourself at each stop using a lift gate and electric pallet jack

• Runs new automatic, late-model Freightliner daycabs

• Hazmat endorsement required

Requirements

• At least 22 years old

• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years (some exceptions may apply)

• No more than 1 preventable DOT-recordable accident in the last 3 years

• Must register in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse before being hired

• At least 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years

• Strong enough English skills to talk with the public, read road signs, answer official questions, and fill out reports
