CDL-A Gravel Train Driver — Home Nightly

Our company in Lansing, MI needs a full-time CDL-A driver to haul sand, gravel and aggregate to customer sites with a semi pulling single or double trailers. You'll be home nightly.

What you'll haul

• Sand, gravel and aggregate product, delivered to the correct site each time

• Loads pulled with single or double trailers

What the job involves

• Driving safely and following all traffic laws

• Doing pre- and post-trip checks, plus basic upkeep like fluids, lights and tires

• Keeping the truck and trailers clean inside and out

• Collecting payment from COD customers and turning it in at the office

• Staying in touch with the office by cell phone

• Reporting any incidents or injuries to your supervisor right away

• Building good relationships with customers

• Following company policy and state and federal safety rules

• Taking on other tasks as needed

• Working hours that may shift based on customer and company needs, including possible overtime, Saturdays and night work

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid CDL Class A with a Double Trailer (T) endorsement

• Clean, safe driving history

• Able to get a DOT medical card and pass a DOT drug screen and pre-employment physical

• Physically able to climb, bend, stoop, squat, twist, stretch, sit/drive, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly

• Comfortable reading maps and following spoken or GPS directions

• Strong attendance and punctuality

• Team player with a positive attitude

• Flexible with scheduling, including possible nights and weekends
