About this job
Our company needs seasoned Class A tanker operators to run local fuel routes out of Roanoke, VA. Night shifts are the preference here, and you'll sleep in your own bed every night while supplying petroleum to customers in the area.
Pay
- Experienced drivers average $88,678.00 a year
- Weekly paychecks, with premiums for night, weekend and holiday work
- Extra earnings through quarterly safety incentives and experience-based pay
Home time
- Routes stay close to Roanoke, so you're back home every day
What you'll haul
- You'll load petroleum products at the rack and drop them off at stores and sites throughout the Roanoke, VA area
- Expect to follow DOT and company safety standards, keep your paperwork in order, and stay in contact with dispatch to keep things moving
Requirements
- Class A CDL with N and H endorsements (or X combined), plus air brake certification
- Minimum age 23
- One year of tractor-trailer experience within the past 7 years
- Driving record showing no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years, or 4 in 7
- No DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last decade
- No at-fault DOT-recordable accidents in the past 3 years
- English fluency for reading, speaking and comprehension
