CDL-A Food Service Delivery Driver — Home Daily, $1,700–$1,800/wk Avg

Our company in Lebanon, TN is looking for a CDL-A delivery driver to run food service routes and get home every day. You'll run a 4-day week on a rotating schedule, Sunday through Saturday, with dispatch times between 8:00 PM and 2:00 AM depending on your assigned route. Some routes run solo, others pair you with a partner, based on business needs.

Pay

• Average weekly earnings of $1,700-$1,800 once you're past training, with top earners making $3,000+ per week

• $7,500 sign-on bonus (terms apply; not available to anyone who worked for a Performance Food Group company in the last 6 months)

Home time

• You're home daily

• 4-day work week, with rotating route assignments covering Sunday through Saturday

What you'll haul

• Food and food-related products delivered to restaurant and food service customers

• You'll drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on local, OTR, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop routes

• About half the fleet has lift gates, which cuts down on the physical strain of unloading

What the job involves

• Pre- and post-trip inspections on your tractor and trailer, following DOT rules

• Loading dock work: hooking up preloaded trailers, checking freight counts against invoices, and handling paperwork

• Delivering orders on your route, unloading product into customer storage areas, and getting signatures confirming delivery

• Handling damaged goods and customer returns, and reporting any issues to your supervisor

• Logging your hours of service daily per DOT and company rules

• Keeping your truck and the dock area clean, and securing equipment at the end of your shift

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license

• At least 21 years old

• High school diploma or GED

• 6 months of commercial driving experience

• Clean driving record for the past 3 years

• Must pass a post-offer drug screen, background check, and road test

• Valid DOT health card, or able to get one

• Able to hand-lift and use equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates to move product cases weighing roughly 10-35 lbs, and up to about 60-90 lbs depending on location
