CDL-A Floater Truck Driver — $26.00/hr, Home Daily, $5,000 Sign-On

Penske Logistics needs full-time CDL-A drivers for a floater role in Clyde, OH, covering different dedicated accounts and routes as needs shift. You'll be home every day and handle drop & hook freight without touch loading.

Pay

• $26.00 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours worked

• Average annual earnings of $94,730

• $5,000 bonus for signing on

• Up to $6,600 per year available through safety and performance incentives

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, either a 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM shift or an 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM shift

• Expect around 60 hours weekly on average

• Overtime kicks in past 40 hours

What you'll haul

• You'll float across multiple dedicated accounts and shifts depending on what the business needs

• All drop & hook work, no freight handling

• Equipment includes 53' trailers, day cabs and automatic transmissions, all late-model and kept up by Penske

• Trucks are built for comfort and safety and have cameras facing both in and out of the cab

What the job involves

• Pre-trip and post-trip checks on your tractor and equipment

• Flagging any equipment problems to get them fixed quickly

• Keeping good communication with dispatch and the customers you serve

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A, and you must live in the U.S. and be licensed in your home state

• Must hold, or be able to get, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card

• Either 1 year of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the past 5 years

• No more than two moving violations or accidents on your 3-year driving record

• English language proficiency is required under federal DOT rules

• Must pass a background check (employment, education, criminal history) and a drug screening, and complete Penske's application process

• This is a safety-sensitive, DOT-regulated position requiring constant alertness on the job

• Must be physically able to see, hear, move around, stand, sit, and handle lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally, along with getting in and out of the cab and cargo area
