About this job
Adcock, a family-owned logistics company, is looking for experienced CDL-A drivers to run flatbed and step deck freight on OTR/regional routes. You'll haul loads like heavy machinery, industrial equipment and steel, and work with modern, well-maintained tractors and trailers backed by an in-house repair team.
Pay
- $0.73 per mile on both flatbed and step deck loads
- $75.00 tarp pay per load
- Extra pay for tarping and additional stops
- Quarterly bonuses tied to performance, safety and fuel efficiency
What you'll haul
- Flatbed and step deck trailers carrying heavy machinery, industrial equipment and steel
- Loads require strapping, chaining and tarping to meet FMCSA standards
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- At least 1 year of flatbed experience
- No serious violations in the past 36 months
- Minimum age 23
What you'll do
- Drive assigned regional or national routes safely and within DOT rules
- Secure, strap, chain and tarp cargo correctly
- Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical problems
- Keep accurate ELD logs and delivery paperwork
- Stay in touch with dispatch and customers to keep deliveries on schedule
