CDL-A Flatbed Driver — $30/hr, No Weekends

Ryder is looking for a Class A CDL driver to run flatbed routes out of Waterbury, CT, with no weekend work. You'll deliver solo to PA, NJ, NY, DE, and MD, floating between locations, and be home daily or close to it.

Pay

• $30.00 per hour, paid weekly

• Typically $1650 or more per week, based on 40-50 hours

• Paid training

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, no weekends

• Dispatch starts between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM

What you'll haul

• Flatbed trailers, 48' and 53'

• Freight is metals, load securement only

• Day cab tractors, trucks 36 months old or newer

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Class A CDL with required endorsements

• At least 3 months of flatbed experience

• Verifiable tractor-trailer experience: 9 months in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5, or 5 years in the last 10

• Pass drug test, background check, MVR check, DOT physical, and road test

• Ryder provides training on all equipment

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, legal, and company compliance standards

• Identify and reduce safety hazards

• Keep accurate logs and records

• Load or unload freight when required by the customer
