About this job
Our company in Colfax, NC needs a CDL-A flatbed driver to haul forklifts, panelized walls and loose lumber out to job sites for contractors. This is a local company-driving role with flatbed equipment.
What you'll haul
- Forklifts, moved to and from job sites
- Panelized walls and loose lumber, delivered to job sites
- Loading, unloading and securing forklifts and building materials on flatbed trucks and trailers
What you'll do
- Run local routes, including weekends as needed
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your rig
- Secure every load properly before heading out
- Follow DOT rules and company safety policies
Pay
$1,000.00–$2,000.00 per week, as a company driver.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A, required
- Commercial driving experience preferred
- Comfortable operating flatbed trucks and trailers
- Able to safely handle and transport forklifts
- Solid grasp of load securement practices
- Clean driving record
- Dependable, on time, and safety-minded
- Meets DOT standards for CDL-A drivers, including random drug and alcohol testing
