CDL-A Equipment Delivery Driver — $42,000–$80,000/year

Birkey's Farm Store in Galesburg, IL needs a CDL-A driver to pick up and deliver farm machinery, equipment, parts and supplies to customers using company vehicles. You'll handle oversized and overweight loads daily and work directly with customers at drop-off.

What you'll haul

• Machinery, equipment, parts and supplies for the company and its customers

• Oversized and/or overweight loads on a daily basis

What you'll do

• Transport and deliver loads, keeping signed records of each pickup and delivery

• Load and unload safely, and help coordinate pickup and delivery scheduling

• Check equipment condition before delivery and show customers how to operate it

• Keep your assigned vehicle clean and in good repair, handling routine maintenance

• Follow all safety rules and procedures, and keep a safe work environment

• Represent the company professionally and resolve customer concerns on the spot

Requirements

• Valid Class A Driver's License, meeting all DOT regulations and certifications

• Participation in the company's random Drug and Alcohol Consortium testing

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least six months of related work experience with a steady work history

• Able to work independently, follow instructions, and keep a team focused on customer satisfaction

Physical demands

• Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs

• Comfortable bending, reaching, climbing up to 25 inches, and standing or walking for long stretches

• Able to operate a forklift or similar power equipment as needed

• Must pass a health assessment

Work environment

• Frequent exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes and moderate noise

• Extended sitting or standing, work near moving mechanical parts, and both indoor and outdoor conditions

• Heavy driving and loading duties throughout the shift

$42,000-$80,000 per year, plus a benefits package based on your experience and qualifications.
