About this job
Our company LLC needs Class A CDL drivers to run transfer/end dump truck and trailer combinations out of their Calumet Park, IL yard. You'll stay local, running routes through Chicago and nearby Indiana (Hammond and surrounding areas), and you'll be home every day.
Pay
- $75 per load
- Most drivers run 6-10 loads a day
- Your weekly pay depends on how much you haul
- Listed hourly range: $28.00-$40.00 per hour
Home time
- Home daily, no overnight trips
What you'll haul
- Gravel, sand, stone, dirt, asphalt and other construction materials
What the job involves
- Safely operating a dump truck pulling a trailer
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
- Staying compliant with DOT rules
- Properly securing each load
- Staying in touch with dispatch and job site contacts
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Hands-on experience with dump truck and trailer setups (transfer or end dump preferred)
- Clean driving history preferred
- Willing and able to run Chicago and nearby Indiana routes, including Hammond and surrounding areas
- Dependable and on time
- Experience with transfer dump trailers, quarry or construction hauling, and Chicago-area routes is a plus
